Pablo Diaz

Born in A Coruña (Galicia) he holds a Diploma in Social Studies from the University of A Coruña. He is a renowned singer, composer, and instrumentalist in Galicia and has spent more than 30 years dedicated to the work of ethnographic field research, especially on traditional music
and dance. He is currently focused on Galician music, devoting himself professionally to teaching since 2000, and he has been the Musical Director of the DONAIRE Association.

In addition to the bagpipe, Pablo plays the clarinet, guitar and traditional percussion (tambourine, bass drum etc…). Over the years he has been part of several groups, including Ruote, Tátara Trio, and he collaborates recording and making live music with Susana Seivane, Xabier
Díaz, Pablo Seoane group, and Rumbadeira among others.

Due to his extensive field work, Pablo brings repertories of: Rías Baixas Quartets (Os Campaneiros, Areeiras de Catoira, A Coruña and surroundings (Os Tempranos de Eirís, Os 5 de
Galicia, etc.), the province of Lugo, and of Baixa Limia Repertoire (Ourense).
